Bottom of the Ruck are delighted to add another charity to our roster for 2012 and onwards:
The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. Our aim is to raise awareness of prostate cancer so that everyone can talk more openly about it and people will recognise the significance of this disease.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK and our vision is a world where lives are no longer limited by this disease.
We are delighted to be working with RugbyRocks and The Prostate Cancer Charity moving forwards. More information about the amazing work done by the charity can be found at http://www.prostate-cancer.org.uk/
Bottom of the Ruck are delighted to be raising money for Wooden Spoon this year.
Wooden Spoon was established in 1983 and exists to improve the quality and prospect of life for children and young people who are disadvantaged physically, mentally or socially. By partnering with the UK rugby community, Spoon harnesses the spirit and values of the game to give disadvantaged children and young people in the UK and Ireland a chance to achieve their full potential. We are very proud to add such a worthwhile charity to our list of partners.
More information about the charity and the work they do can be found at www.woodenspoon.com
Bottom of the Ruck was proud to support Beating Bowel Cancer in 2010 with all of the profits from that year’s event going to the charity.
Beating Bowel Cancer are a leading UK charity for bowel cancer patients, working to raise awareness of symptoms, promote early diagnosis and encourage open access to treatment choice for those affected by bowel cancer. It’s actually the third most common cancer in the UK and more than 100 people are diagnosed every day, yet it is one of the forms of the disease with the least public awareness or support in the public eye. For more information, please see their website www.beatingbowelcancer.org
Beating Bowel Cancer will be one of the benefiting charities from the 2012 event.
Bottom of the Ruck was proud to welcome Tickets for Troops to the 2010 event. A table of 10 was donated to this extremely worthwhile charity and we welcomed guests from all 3 of our Armed Forces. More information about eligibility and the work they do can be found at www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk
Bottom of the Ruck will once again be supporting Tickets for Troops at our 2012 event.
